Quick Update and Holiday Wishes

Well the seasons are changing since I last posted, I have been around but I really haven’t had much to report. Our fingerprints never surfaced and no one from the RCMP called me back...so we are going to have to redo them and all the other documents (police clearance, medical reports ect.) and finish the homestudy. We are waiting until the new year as with the holidays and I changed jobs it’s been a little too stressful...

That’s right I changed jobs...I successfully competed and won a promotion to a different federal department and I started last Monday...so that has been a huge adjustment. This position is a managerial position with staff reporting to me ...eeek! I’m sure it will be great once I get used to the role.

Christmas is coming next week, so we are leaving for my parent’s this week for a short visit.(finger’s crossed for good weather). I’m nowhere near ready for Christmas...there will be some last minute shopping in N.C... hoping the deals are good. Also spending some time with my parents as they were unable to come up this year as orginally planned.

We got a major dump of snow here yesterday...at home I received more than 50 cm of snow (yup that’s 5-0! Or half a metre!!!) Last night we drove home from spending the afternoon with my sister only to find that our "snow guy" never showed and we subsequently got stuck at the end of or drive way! He’s so fired!!! we did get the number of another guy who promptly arrived half and hour after we called and dug us out...we also inquired about hiring his services for the rest of the year...he gave us a price and we are considering it, but my DH wants to speak with our snow guy to find out why he didn’t do the snow, in case he has a reason... not holding my breath though cause when my DH called him as we were stuck at the end of the driveway...his wife advised my DH that he was sleeping!!!!
Anyways...wishing you and yours a safe and warm holiday season and peace for the coming year!.....Cheers!
