Okay, deep breath and breathe…
Yesterday, when I got home I checked the mail as usual and what did I find….two envelopes from the RCMP! I can’t believe it seven months after having them done they finally came back….but alas it may be to good to be true….
You see when I opened the envelopes, they were indeed our finger prints, but they may be already expired…the issue date is clearly January 13th, 2008,however, the date the search of the database was completed was July 12, 2007….which means that they were printed off to be sent to me exactly 6 months and one day after the search was completed…Why me???????
Now on Monday, I’m going to have to make some calls to find out if my fear that they are already expired is true. If it is, I’m going to raise hell with the RCMP!! It is unacceptable and this has caused everything else to become expired as we have been waiting over 7 months to get them back. (You may remember we had them done on June 1st and we did them electronically so they couldn’t get lost!) Do you think I can get the RCMP to cough up the money to redo everything that has expired since we have been waiting?????
Deep breath and breathe...I can't do anything until Monday...

omg. well, it is about time isn't it!? i don't think RCMP will make you repay for the fingerprinting, it is clearly their error.

I'm pretty sure your RCMP prints are good for a full year... I had mine done again after six months and then I was told I didn't need to. Don't panic yet, check with your AP.
Jules
Did you get any answers from the RCMP? Or your money back for that matter?
I was wondering how things were going...

Any answers, I can't believe what terrible things you've had to put up with!!
Hope it's all sorted!
